Le Comité de liaison CEZinc a comme unique mission d’agir, en toute indépendance, comme trait d’union entre la communauté de Salaberry-de-Valleyfield et l’affinerie CEZinc.
Le Comité de liaison reflète les forces vives de la communauté de Valleyfield, puisqu’il est formé des représentants des citoyens et des organismes de la région. Il agit comme trait d’union entre l’entreprise et la population.

Le Comité vise la poursuite de trois objectifs importants :
The Committee has three main objectives:
To obtain accurate and complete information about all activities at the site that may affect the quality of life of the community and to ensure that this information is communicated to the community; to identify community concerns about the company's activities and to communicate these concerns to company representatives and ensure that they are taken into account.
It is important to stress that the Committee is completely independent of the company. Each member communicates the concerns of the community they represent to the Liaison Committee and to CEZinc, and passes on the information they receive from the company.
The Liaison Committee aims to create a climate of partnership between the public and the company, and to act as a real channel of information between them. Everyone is aware of the importance of environmental quality. The committee also works towards this ultimate goal, which affects everyone's quality of life.
